Matthias Jung

I was born in a village between Dortmund and Hanover in northern Germany. After a sheltered childhood, I worked on a farm, traveled through Africa, and studied business administration. I tried to work in this profession, but ultimately found it boring. After many years of changing jobs, I decided to study graphic design. I have been working in this profession since 2013.
My son was born in 2015. Since 2020, I have also been working as a songwriter and journalist. I live in southern Germany near Stuttgart.
I have always worked as an artist for the past 30 years. Initially as a painter. In 2007, I started creating digital collages. My first images were complex representations of medieval cities. Architecture has remained a central component of my images. My collages are often used for magazines, CD covers, book covers, and events, among other things.
Things I like: hiking, singing, daydreaming, blueberries, small islands, and good conversations. For me, life has never been a given. That’s why I’m open to new perspectives and experiments

I have a degree in business administration and a degree in graphic design.
