Sandra Diana Bratland

Through my paintings, I explore the immense beauty and complexity of the Norwegian nature — from the microscopic to the monumental — while moving between the figurative and the abstract.

Using paint, collage, and a range of mixed media techniques, I build texture and depth, allowing the materials to shape the expression themselves.

My work does not aim to convey any political, religious, or ideological message. Instead, each piece is an open-ended observation, inviting viewers to form their own interpretations. Every composition is a personal response to nature, a visual translation of the feeling I had in a specific moment in time.

I hope my art encourages viewers to see the natural world with fresh eyes — to discover the unfamiliar within the familiar, and to find beauty in abstraction.

Through this open approach, I aim to create space for a personal connection between the artwork and its observer.
