Joseph Maughan

Art has been in my life for as long as I can remember. A little less than two years ago I picked up oil painting, since then I have been painting almost every day.

I am fascinated by the complexity of human anatomy, and how the body can articulate emotion in a way that words cannot. My paintings explore themes of isolation and conflict, often characterised by a lone figure.
