Jemima Rainbow

I have forever been a creative soul and currently feel like it’s exploding its way out of me through my current passions.

Sculpting being the main one but also poetry and adding detail to the 400 year old French Manoir I am part way through renovating.

Inspired by the raw beauty of nature and the precision of human craftsmanship, my sculptures embrace the dance between organic forms and intricate design.

I’m fascinated by the effects nature and time can create on both natural and man made objects revealing undiscovered beauty.
I see faces, creatures, and stories hidden within natural materials- every curve, texture, and weathered mark whispering its history. Each piece is meant to be felt, explored, and interacted with, evolving with every touch.

Movement, texture, and sensory experience are at the heart of my work. A secret natural stone bead is hidden in each sculpture (there are 13 different stones in total) in tune with the moon’s cycles because nature’s rhythms and vibrations are the essence of life.

Art should be for all to experience- to delight the senses and lift the spirit (perhaps not a good idea to taste them though!).

Penketh educated until I was 18 through schools and colleges with Art being my only A at gcse level.

It was, however, during design at A level that the flames of creativity truly began to grow.

17 years of self employed property renovation work have afforded me many varied skills and time to collect a huge variety of materials to create from.

The majority of my projects and sculptures have come in recent years and predominately in the most recent 5/6 I have really focused my energy in my workshop.
