Regena Reyes

I create abstract paintings as a way of processing the emotional landscapes of everyday life. Through gestural mark-making and fluid compositions, I explore the feelings that arise from both ordinary moments and profound experiences - the joy, struggle, uncertainty, and courage inherent in being human.

My work invites viewers into a space of reflection and emotional resonance. Each piece emerges from an intuitive process, allowing paint to flow and layer in ways that mirror how we experience life - sometimes calm and contemplative, sometimes turbulent and intense. I'm drawn to organic forms and natural patterns that echo the rhythms we feel but cannot always articulate.

In a world that often demands clarity and certainty, I believe making art is an act of courage. My hope is that these paintings offer others what they offer me: a visual language for processing emotion, a moment of pause, and permission to feel deeply. Art has the power to help us make sense of our experiences, and I create with the intention that each piece might serve as a companion for someone on their own journey of self-discovery and emotional expression.
