" Following a journey, child with my mother, in the country where she was born, Ayïti. I have been marked "
Christopher Prevot is a french contemporary artist whose work explores landscape, the sublime and the spiritual dimension of nature. Trained at Central Saint Martins, he develops a visual language rooted in traditional monochromes, atmospheric gradients and organic materials.
His practice blends ecological awareness based on Native American-Haitian roots, with a poetic sense of impermanence, drawing and painting on Romantic influences and Chan Buddhist philosophies.
Working across ink, natural pigments, recycled paper and ceramics, Prevot creates meditative compositions that evoke the anthropocene, entropy, vastness and quiet introspection. His multicultural background informs a sensitivity to global landscapes and shifting climates, allowing each work to function as a contemplative space. He currently lives between Paris and London and exhibits internationally.
