Melissa Boisson Kummer is a Trinidad and Tobago-born German contemporary artist based in Brasilia, Brazil. Her artistic identity is shaped by a life lived across Madagascar, Nigeria, Germany, Thailand and Brazil.
An acrylic figurative and abstract painter, her work explores human emotion through bold, complex geometric patterns, vertical lines and stylized figures within immersive, contemplative environments, navigating themes of solitude, memory, and quiet presence.
Working primarily in acrylic, oil, charcoal and pastel on large-scale canvases (150 × 90 cm), she creates bold tapestries of color, constructing vibrant patterns within complex narrative interiors, inspired by the beauty of everyday life.
