The purity of the space in between is expressed in raw beauty. It has something to do with the interplay between inner life and interaction. Where does the act begin? The exposure versus the interpretation. As a speech-language pathologist, I feel the urge to express what cannot be said. I wonder what actually happens in the space between individuals.

Form follows function as Frank Lloyd Wright stated. There is so much more than meets the eye. The point where joy becomes pleasure and vice versa. The flame when pain ignites.

Every act is a formed potential.

As a child, I spent my Wednesday afternoons at the Art Academy of Ghent, my hometown. As a young adult, I sometimes exhibited my work in the window of my mother's pharmacy. Once, I reshaped recycled water bottles and presented tulips in them. Daan Van Severen was moved by the contrast of the (non) transience of the scene.
From 2009 to 2011 I studied at the Art Academy in Berchem (Antwerp, Belgium) and in 2017-2018 I attended Perron 17 - a cross-project bridging different ateliers at the Academy of Temse (East Flanders, Belgium).
