Gabriel Ribeiro (Gabs) is a visual artist who works between digital and analog practices, establishing a dialogue between ancient techniques and contemporary visual languages.

His first contact with art began in early childhood, influenced by memories of his mother, who painted as a hobby, and by Japanese anime and television series from the early 1990s.

His connection with Japanese culture and art deepened when his grandmother introduced him to the oriental-based philosophy of Seicho-No-Ie. Years later, these experiences evolved into artistic research, also inspired by her teachings about nature and the cultivation of herbs and flowers.

This affective and spiritual heritage emerges as a form of homage in his work, appearing in a poetic and restrained manner, merging with elements of Asian art—especially ukiyo-e and sumi-e.
