My work begins in silence. A mark, a movement, a hesitation. Charcoal drags across the surface — not to describe, but to uncover. Each drawing is an act of searching, a negotiation between intention and accident. I work with the immediacy of gesture, letting the line find its own rhythm, its own language of emotion.
I am drawn to the instability of form — the way a face, a figure, or a thought can dissolve into texture and tone. Charcoal and ink allow me to explore that moment between recognition and abstraction, where something is both emerging and vanishing. This tension — between control and release, structure and chaos — is where the work lives.
Influenced by Bacon’s psychological intensity, Auerbach’s layered persistence, and Miró’s lyrical freedom, I aim to capture something beyond representation: the residue of presence, the vibration of being. Each piece becomes less about what is seen, and more about what is felt — an imprint of thought, gesture, and vulnerability.
Through these drawings, I try to hold onto the fleeting — the raw pulse of emotion before it resolves into meaning.
