Catherine Rosario

After years focused on performance, I have felt an overwhelming drive to return to my first love of painting and drawing. My current focus is on recreating both the liveness and energy, even amidst stillness, of creatures, plants and trees. I have found huge inspiration in the beauty of medieval paintings and their celebration of the natural world and all its marvels. I enjoy leaving a sketch or painting for a while and then returning to it afresh - to see it with new eyes - and to add that next layer of depth.
