Hiten Prajapati

I am a student and contemporary visual artist working primarily with graphite on paper. I have been drawing consistently since 2020, with an early interest in sketching that began in childhood and gradually evolved into a focused and disciplined practice.

My work centers on realism guided by mood and restraint rather than exaggeration. Through monochrome portraiture, I explore identity, silence, and psychological presence, using tonal depth, texture, and light to create quiet intensity. I aim to leave space for interpretation instead of forcing narrative.

Grounded in traditional drawing techniques, I value material honesty and process. Each piece is developed through careful layering and observation, resulting in work that feels intimate, deliberate, and timeless.

I am currently a student, pursuing my undergraduate studies. Alongside my academic education, I have developed my drawing practice independently, with a focus on realism and traditional graphite techniques.
