Shyh-Jen Ni

Born in Taiwan, Shyh-Jen Ni lived in Japan where as a young child she discovered her passion for art and explored different art forms under the guidance of several art instructors. Moving to the United States, she continued her studies in fine arts, focusing on sculpting. She graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from William Paterson University of New Jersey.

Returning to Taiwan, Shyh-Jen has continuously refined her work, creating more detailed, thoughtful pieces. Her works have been shown at the Taoyuan International Airport in Taiwan, the Art Fair, PLAS in South Korea, and multiple art galleries in Taiwan.

Shyh-Jen is a sculptor deeply rooted in both Eastern and Western symbolism, particularly focusing on the rich symbolism of rabbits.

In Eastern culture, the rabbit holds significant symbolism within the Chinese Zodiac, representing traits such as mercy, elegance, and beauty. These characteristics are often associated with the rabbit's graceful and gentle nature. Conversely, in Western culture, rabbits symbolize resurrection and rebirth, which are tied to themes of renewal and the cyclical nature of life.
