Marija Bozilovic

I was born in 1943 in Zadar (Croatia), and for the past 50 years I have lived in Niš (Serbia). My artwork is inspired by life and the time we live in. I most often paint landscapes and animals, with a particular passion for horses. Painting is the food for my soul.

In my work, I use various techniques and media, including oil on canvas, dry pastel, and encaustic. I express myself through both realism and abstract art.

I have been an active member of the artists association “Luna” based in Niš (Serbia) for 16 years. The association organizes at least two group exhibitions each year, and often more.

In addition to participating in these group exhibitions, my works have been exhibited five times at the international group exhibition “Women Painters” in Majdanpek (Serbia). I also held a solo exhibition in 2022 entitled “The Infinite Powers of the Soul in Solitude”, which took place in the same city.
