Bertrand De Miollis

The painting of Bertrand de Miollis is an ardent celebration of life.
A travelling painter and printmaker, he captures the beauty of the world with a sense of wonder, fully aware of its fragility. Each canvas condenses fleeting moments into a lasting trace of emotion transformed into light. Through layered matter and glazes, he sets the surface vibrating, revealing the hidden movement of the elements. Guided by intuition, his gesture shapes inner landscapes where the harmony of the cosmos can be felt. An heir to the great colorists — the Nabis, the Symbolists, the Fauves — his work continues a living dialogue between color, light, and the world.

Since 2002, Bertrand de Miollis has gained recognition through his engaged travel journals (Press and Edition): a boat trip around Africa, a motorcycle journey through Chile, and Paris-Kabul, a sidecar tour of Lake Baikal, as well as war journals from Afghanistan and Iraq.

Fascinated by other arts, he explores lyric art (2010) and ballet (one year residency at the Paris Opera, 2014). His recent personal exhibitions (oils, engravings), OXYGENE RESET and AIR PANORAMA, poetically examine our relationship with our planet. His colors are fresh and vibrant.
Recognized as an Official Painter of the Navy, he is also a member of the Taylor Foundation.
