Evgeniia Bychina

Evgeniia Bychina is a self-taught artist born in the Southern Urals and now based in Grenoble, France. Her artistic journey has developed through years of independent study and close learning alongside professional painters. Before focusing primarily on oil painting, she explored a variety of creative practices, including pottery, jewellery making and watercolor. These experiences continue to influence her approach to colour, texture and composition.

Today, she works mainly in oil, inspired by Impressionism and Pointillism and by the landscapes that have marked her life. The French Alps have become a constant source of inspiration, while the landscapes of her native South Urals remain an important part of her visual memory. Over the years, New Zealand has also deeply influenced her artistic vision, with its distinctive natural landscapes.

Through attentive observation and a personal approach to colour, she transforms familiar scenes into luminous and intimate paintings that reflect both her surroundings and her evolving artistic journey.
