Roman Piskovetskiy

I graduated from a military academy. That was the time, that was the ideology. But even then, wearing the uniform, I knew: my soul was not meant for war or destruction. I dreamed of creating, building, bringing something beautiful into the world. Eventually, I left the army — I realized it simply wasn’t my path.

I started a new life in Khmelnytskyi. I built houses, social infrastructure, helped shape spaces where people could live comfortably. At the same time, I was quietly creating on my own. Since childhood, I had felt a strong pull toward drawing and visual art. That inner drive eventually led me to open my own gallery. I invited artists, organized exhibitions, and tried to awaken a sense of beauty in people — to help them see the world more deeply, more soulfully.

Later, I enrolled at Lviv Polytechnic — first in construction, then in architecture. The shift to architecture gave me a new creative impulse: it demanded drawing skills, spatial thinking, and artistic vision. The professors contributed a lot too — both technically and creatively.
