Elena Lemust

Elena Lemust is an Italian abstract artist whose practice explores the expressive potential of texture, layering, and material. Working with raw canvas, paint, fabric, graphite, and stitched elements, she creates mixed-media compositions that reveal the traces of an intuitive and evolving creative process.

Rather than depicting recognizable subjects, her work is built through accumulation, erasure, and reconstruction. Every mark, stitched fragment, and painted layer becomes part of a visual dialogue between control and spontaneity, structure and chance.

Inspired by the physical qualities of materials, Lemust approaches each painting as a space where surfaces hold memory and transformation. Her restrained palette—often centered on black, natural linen, and subtle accents of blue or fluorescent pink—draws attention to texture, rhythm, and the quiet tension between simplicity and complexity.
