I am a mixed media artist working through experience, memory, and survival. My work examines systems of control, identity, and power—how individuals are shaped by forces they did not knowingly choose.
I experience heightened pattern recognition and a form of eidetic memory, where what may register as narrative or impression for others is retained as factual, sensory, and spatial information. This way of remembering shapes my relationship to experience and underpins my approach to making work.
My practice is informed by academic study in economics, political geography, and identification, alongside professional experience in human resources leadership and luxury retail operations—environments structured around hierarchy, performance, and compliance. These systems, and the ways individuals are absorbed into them without consent, directly influence my visual language.
I am particularly interested in gentrification and institutional systems, and the subtle ways participation is assumed rather than chosen. My current body of work, Games We Don’t Know How to Play, explores the realization of being part of a game without awareness or agreement—where destiny, control, and participation intersect after the fact.
