I'm a Pacific Northwest fine art photographer based between Seattle and Port Angeles, with 16+ years on the water - kayaking, surfing, and stand-up paddling across Puget Sound, the San Juan Islands, and the Strait of Juan de Fuca.
My work centers on intentional camera movement (ICM), translating this region's shifting light, tide, and weather into soft, painterly abstraction - seen across series like Afterglow, Liquid Motion, and Atmosphere.
I'm the author of Paddling the Salish Sea: 80 Trips (2025 IPPY Silver Award, Mountaineers Books), along with Stand Up Paddling and the third edition of Kayaking Puget Sound and the San Juans.
My conservation-focused still-life work, made from beach debris collected along the Salish Sea, was exhibited in We Are Puget Sound at Seattle's Burke Museum (2023) and on the Tacoma waterfront (2025).
I serve on the Clallam County Marine Resources Committee, advise the Olympic Coast Exploration Center, and volunteer with the North Olympic Land Trust - work that's inseparable from the images I make.
