Tomasz Toroj

I am a photographer based in Poland, working with landscape and panoramic imagery, focusing on atmosphere rather than documentation. My practice centers on the relationship between light and space, where the landscape becomes a quiet field for perception and reflection.

I am interested in stillness, scale, and the presence of open space. Through careful composition and a balanced use of color, my images aim to slow the viewer down, encouraging a contemplative experience rather than a narrative one. The landscape is approached not as something to explain, but as something to experience.

I hold an MA in Philosophy with a specialization in Cultural Studies from Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin. My academic background continues to inform my photographic practice, particularly in its attention to perception, symbolic resonance, and the experiential dimension of space.

I developed my photographic language independently — shaped by family tradition and years of dedicated self-study — cultivating an approach rooted in observation, patience, and a deep sensitivity to atmosphere.
