Nadia Shaddi

I am a self-taught artist living in Italy.
Although I did not study fine arts academically, my background in engineering deeply shaped my artistic vision, strengthening my sensitivity to structure, balance, and geometric forms. In the past, I studied pigments and color-making, which allowed me to perceive colors not as simple materials, but as living elements — breathing, moving, and capable of giving life to an empty white surface, just as water gives life to everything it touches.
After becoming a mother, I returned to painting with a renewed soul.
Motherhood awakened in me a deeper understanding of life, emotion, and connection. It colored my inner world, and painting became the most honest language through which I could express these feelings.
Through my art, I seek to translate emotion into color, silence into light, and inner experiences into visual stories.
