Ruben Moliner Motoso

I am an artist born in Barcelona, Spain, in 1989, and I use drawing as my primary means of expression.

I work mainly with graphite, although I sometimes use gouache, acrylic, or digital techniques. The body and the human figure are recurring themes in my work, though not the only ones. I am interested in drawing for its simplicity, immediacy, and the minimal resources it requires.

I use drawing as a tool that allows me to analyze and transform pre-existing images. My current approach revolves around the idea of tension as an intrinsic part of drawing.

Soy un artista nacido en Barcelona, España en 1989 y utilizo el dibujo como medio de expresión.

Trabajo principalmente con grafito, aunque a veces utilizo guache, acrílico o técnicas digitales. El cuerpo y la figura humana son los temas que más se repite en mi trabajo, aunque no el único. Me interesa el dibujo por su sencillez, inmediatez y por la escasez de medios que requiere.

Utilizo el dibujo como una herramienta que me permite analizar y transformar imágenes preexistentes. Actualmente, mi visión gira alrededor de la idea de tensión como parte inherente del dibujo.
