Sayuri is a contemporary oil painter based in Tokyo, Japan. Her symbolic and surreal works explore love as a fundamental presence within human existence. Influenced by Western classical art, particularly religious painting, as well as Surrealism, she is drawn to the use of symbols and visual codes to express invisible and universal concepts.
Her work reflects on the quiet presence of love that exists beyond memory and time. The lily appears throughout her paintings as a recurring symbol of inner love shared between souls, reflecting both personal identity and universal symbolism.
Through a carefully developed visual language, Sayuri visualizes emotions, beliefs, and messages that transcend time, culture, and identity. By combining classical elements with a surrealistic approach, she creates paintings where the unseen becomes visible.
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Fine Arts University, Japan.
