Vitalii Balasenco

Vitalii Balashenko is a contemporary artist working within the language of neo-expressionism. His practice explores themes of inner crisis, identity, and existential tension. Through painting, he seeks to translate psychological vulnerability and emotional intensity into a visual form, revealing the fragile yet resilient nature of human experience.
Influenced by the raw energy of Jean-Michel Basquiat and the emotional depth of Edvard Munch, Balashenko has developed a distinctive visual vocabulary. He is drawn to vivid, impulsive brushstrokes and intentionally blurred lines, allowing a sense of unrest to emerge within the composition. Although his works may appear chaotic at first glance, they are structured by an internal logic — a system that balances spontaneity with control.
For Balashenko, painting is not merely an act of expression, but a process of transformation — a space where destruction and reconstruction coexist, and where personal conflict becomes a catalyst for change.
