Arnaud Vannier

My work celebrates animals, from the birds in our gardens to the great wild beasts of our dreams. Through them, I explore two facets of beauty: poetic realism and contemporary symbolism.
The red mark and the gold dots, present in each of my paintings, serve as recurring landmarks. The former evokes the organic essence of all living beings; the latter symbolize the luxuriance of nature. The pendulum, meanwhile, introduces movement.
I grew up surrounded by artists, art restorers, and master craftsmen. It was from them that I learned my craft, but also from solitude.
At one point, I traded the bustle of city life for the solitude of the limestone plateau. There, with my dogs as my only companions, I found my true visual language. Nature taught me how to see what is essential.
Inspired by the spirit of Asian art and its search for balance, I strive above all to create works in which strength, harmony, and the presence of living nature coexist.
