My name is Djordje Pleskonjic. I’m 18 years old and I’m from Belgrade, Serbia. I’ve been painting for seven years, and for me, art has never been just a hobby — it’s the way I understand myself and the world around me.
I work mainly with acrylics, but I don’t limit myself to one specific style. I paint based on how I feel in the moment. Sometimes my work is intense and expressive, sometimes quieter and more reflective. I don’t always start with a clear plan — I let emotion guide me, and the painting develops naturally from there.
I was introduced to painting by my mum, who taught me the basics and encouraged me to explore freely. Because of that, my art feels very personal. It’s not about rules or perfection — it’s about honesty. Every piece carries a part of my mood, my thoughts, or something I may not be able to express in words.
I’m still at the beginning of my journey, but I’m constantly learning, experimenting, and pushing myself to grow. For me, painting is a way to turn emotion into something visible — something that others can feel too.
Independent study in painting (7 years), mentored by a family artist.
