For me, art is a deep inner dimension that has grown stronger in recent years, when I unexpectedly rediscovered how instinctive it felt to work with colors and how powerful it is to create through them.
My experimentation spans from small to large canvases, from acrylics to oils, chalks, watercolors and spray paints. I work on both smooth and tactile surfaces, using acrylic paste, polyurethane, resins, glass pastes, glues and nylon threads, etc.
Abstract art allows me to reinterpret reality through a personal code that shifts with what I feel compelled to express. Colors and materials are layered, blended, poured or swept across the canvas with gestures that vary in intensity, generating fractures, delicate or abrupt, and forms that resist linear logic.
For me, material painting is above all this: a gentle dislocation of meaning and matter.
Photography is my first love. For over ten years - especially during my travels - I’ve used it to return the world through symbolic, elusive perspectives.
In both painting and photography, I try to reach the point where images are no longer representations, but echoes of something that precedes, or follows, them.
