Melrick Steele

Melrick Steele is a multi-disciplinary artist based in Chicago. His work centers cultural contemporary art— themes of identity, memory, and resilience within urban communities.



Using bold colors, layered textures, and symbolic forms, Melrick tells stories rooted in lived experience and cultural heritage. His style blends street art, ancestral patterns, and modern expressionism—creating pieces that are both visually striking and deeply meaningful.



Beyond painting, Melrick is also a tattoo artist, bringing personal stories to life through ink. His writing explores similar themes of empowerment, truth, and self-definition.



Across all mediums, Melrick’s goal is to create work that uplifts, represents, and opens conversations. He is building toward larger exhibitions that honor both community and creative innovation.
