ABOUT
EDUCATION
Rojin Surreah is a multidisciplinary artist whose work explores ritual, beauty, identity, and impermanence. With a decade-long background in permanent makeup and a lifetime of traditional fine art training, she approaches the human form and figure as both canvas and archive—sites where memory, spirit, and self-perception intersect.
Her work is deeply contemplative and often thought-provoking, built on the tension between enhancement and erasure, artifice and authenticity, power and vulnerability. Through deliberate juxtaposition and contrast—softness against severity, sacred against constructed, intimacy against exposure—she invites viewers into moments of pause and reflection.
Influenced by media arts, esoteric studies and cosmology, her practice moves between the personal and the cultural, often interrogating how beauty standards are constructed, inherited, and internalized. Through visual art and lens-based work, she seeks to document modern rites of passage and the quiet, radical act of self-authorship.
