Aniceto Nato De Jesus

Nato is a Timorese contemporary painter whose work explores the intersection of pop culture and human emotion. Nato brings a sharp, structured aesthetic to his canvases, which is then disrupted by bold, gestural brushstrokes.
His artistic process focuses on recontextualizing familiar portraiture into a modern, expressionistic dialogue. by layering intense textures over precise geometric composition, he creates depth and tension.
Nato's work has been featured in several group exhibition and solo exhibition in southeast Asia especially in Timor-Leste.
He currently works and lives in Dili, Timor-Leste.
