Paylak Vanikyan

Paylak Vanikyan is an Armenian contemporary painter born in Yerevan, Armenia, in 1964. He studied at the Terlemezian Yerevan State College of Arts from 1980 to 1984, where he developed the artistic foundations that would later shape his distinctive visual language.

His work combines figurative and abstract elements, exploring themes of identity, memory, spirituality, and the emotional depth of human experience. Through expressive textures, layered compositions, and symbolic imagery, Vanikyan creates paintings that invite viewers into a reflective and psychological space.

Throughout his career, he has exhibited internationally in cities such as Paris, Rome, New York, Los Angeles, Brussels, Cologne, and Moscow, as well as in numerous exhibitions in Armenia. His works are held in private collections and galleries across Europe, the United States, and the Middle East.

He currently lives and works in Yerevan, continuing to develop a personal artistic language that bridges Armenian cultural heritage with contemporary expression.
