Ege Kolcu

Ege Kolcu (b.1994, Istanbul) is a sculptor currently living and working in Carrara, Italy.

Kolcu’s work explores the relationship between silence, sound, and human perception. Being deaf, he approaches sculpture through a heightened visual and tactile sensitivity, transforming the idea of sound and silence into physical forms.

Working primarily with Carrara marble, bronze, and stone, his sculptures move between abstraction and the human figure. His works invite viewers to reflect on inner perception, silence, and the invisible dimensions of experience.

Kolcu studied sculpture at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in Istanbul and completed his specialization at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Carrara.
