Ansou Niabaly

I am a Senegalese artist working across painting, sculpture, and installation. My practice is rooted in the richness of African cultural traditions, while remaining deeply engaged with the contemporary world and the questions it raises — identity, migration, collective memory, the relationship between humans and the land they come from.
My work is often built around an earthy palette and organic forms — materials and colors that feel alive, that carry weight and history. I am drawn to what connects us to the earth, to our origins, and to each other across borders and generations.
Beyond aesthetics, my art is a form of engagement. I want my work to provoke thought, to open conversations about the social and political transformations taking place across Africa and beyond. Art, for me, is not separate from the world — it is a way of inhabiting it more honestly.

My works are currently represented by LynArt Gallery, an online contemporary art gallery based in Clichy, France. This collaboration has allowed my practice to reach collectors internationally, and I am grateful to work alongside a gallery that is deeply committed to promoting contemporary art on a global scale.
