Karol Filip Madyjewicz (born February 7, 1985, in Gdansk). Between 2008 and 2013, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, majoring in Artistic Education. He earned his diplomas in painting under Prof. Andrzej Dyakowski (2011) and Prof. Andrzej Śramkiewicz (2013).
In his work, he seeks a synthesis of oneiric surrealism and expressive abstraction, using painterly motifs as a pretext for artistic exploration. His process is rooted in intuition; he strives to "listen" to the painting, without knowing its final form in advance. It is a field of exploration devoid of obvious solutions. Believing that art should be emotionally moving, he employs powerful means of expression: bold color, dynamic lines, and thick texture. For him, painting serves as a personal catharsis for inner anxieties.
From 2016 to 2019, he lived in London, where he created street art and participated in the Hackney WickED festival (2017, 2019) and the "Dark Arts" exhibition (2019). After returning to Gdansk, he took part in various group shows and held a solo exhibition "Rebel" and ''Savage"(2022). He is a recipient of the 2024 Gdansk Cultural Scholarship.
