Pelin Kaptan

Painting, for me, is a way of translating emotion into color. Based in Istanbul, I draw upon my background in Graphic Design and large-scale Mural Painting to navigate the subtle tension between structure and spontaneity. Working primarily with mixed media and acrylics on MDF, I am deeply fascinated by the power of vibrant palettes and expressive textures to actively transform a space and evoke feeling. My work is a continuous exploration of movement and energy. Ultimately, each piece I create invites the viewer to pause, feel and interpret the story in their own way.
