Ciara Sherry

Born in 1978, Ciara Sherry is an Irish artist whose work is deeply informed by a lifetime of creative immersion. Raised in a family steeped in the arts—from traditional sculptors to Celtic sign writers—Ciara’s artistic foundation was built on craftsmanship and heritage.
​Now living at the foot of the Mourne Mountains in a coastal village, Ciara draws constant inspiration from the dramatic landscapes and rugged beauty of her surroundings. A self-taught artist from a young age, her previous career as a photographer honed her eye for composition and light, which she now translates into her preferred medium of oils.
​As a mother of three, Ciara balances her family life with a dedicated studio practice, creating tactile, evocative oil paintings that bridge the gap between her family’s artistic legacy and her own contemporary vision.
