Diego Medina

Hi and welcome to my work.

My name is Diego Medina, a visual artist based in Lima, Peru. My practice moves between contemporary photography and material-based artistic processes, with a focus on nature, transformation, and the passage of time.

My work explores how images shape ways of seeing, and how looking can become a space for active contemplation. Each project is approached as a dialogue between creation and observation, where sensitivity and perception guide the process.

I am interested in developing a practice that remains open, reflective, and deeply connected to both the material world and the experience of viewing.

I graduated in Photography from the Centro de la Imagen in 2021 and I am currently studying Conservation at the Escuela Nacional Superior Autónoma de Bellas Artes del Perú. This dual formation allows me to approach the image not only as a visual result, but also as a physical and conceptual object.
