Wu Siyu is a young contemporary artist, born in Fujian, China in 1991. She graduated from the Printmaking Department of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute and is currently a member of the Fujian Artists Association. Years of academic training in printmaking have laid a solid foundation for my modeling skills, shaping my precise grasp of the texture, layering and spatial sense of images, which has become an irreplaceable core foundation in my current acrylic creations. I use a complex soft gray color palette as my base tone. Give up the strong color impact and complex narrative expression. On the framework of the figurative landscape painting, I deconstructed the true emotions of nature with the expressive heavy texture and the reserved and soft color layers - whether it is the tranquility of mountains, rivers and lakes, or the fleeting morning mist and evening breeze, all are condensed on my canvas.
