Lindsey Blank

Lindsey is a British sculptor based in Putney in Southwest London. After studying graphics at St Martin's School of Art, she served an apprenticeship under sculptor John Taylor, principal sculptor for Adel Rootstein mannequins at Chelsea Studios.
From there she developed the brand Lindsey B, creating ornamental artifacts for commercial and domestic interiors. Reproductions of her work in ceramic, fibreglass and polymer resin manufactured in the UK and New York were distributed world-wide.
Her brand was at the forefront of twentieth century decorative design but, plagued by a tsunami of cheap copies emerging from the far east, she withdrew into the more prosaic landscape of retail display.
With this collection though she has explored elements of form, space and movement to re-emerge as Lindsey Blank with a style that has developed into something more individual, edgy, complex, sophisticated; pop to rock perhaps.
