I mainly work with hand-drawn ink on paper, producing figurative works within the strict iconometric and iconographic framework of the Silpashastra — the classical South Indian canon of sacred image-making documented in texts such as the Manasara and the Agamas. Every composition begins with a proportional grid derived from the Dasa-tala system, in which the face of the figure serves as the master unit of measurement. The body is constructed from this unit outward — posture, gesture, attribute, crown — each element prescribed by canonical source rather than artistic discretion. The work sits at the intersection of devotional practice, technical discipline, and drawing as a primary medium.
