Sule Ceran

I am a Turkish ceramic tile (çini) artist who reinterprets traditional Turkish motifs through a contemporary perspective. In my work, I aim to modernize these historical patterns and make them suitable for everyday living spaces, bringing traces of the past into present-day life. Each piece reflects a balance between heritage and modern expression, adding depth, character, and color to contemporary environments.


Since 2021, I have been developing my artistic practice through both independent exploration and formal training at the Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Conservatory of Fine Arts. This journey has enabled me to combine traditional techniques with a modern design approach.


With a background in brand communication and social media, I focus on creating functional and visually compelling objects that enhance the accessibility of traditional tile art. By merging the richness of tradition with the dynamics of modern life, I strive to create works that establish a meaningful emotional and aesthetic connection with the viewer.
