Tracy Luck

Artist Bio:

Tracy Luck is a London based mixed media abstract artist working currently with oil, acrylic, wax, ink, thread unto collage, canvas, paper, cardboard. Her abstract investigations are through painting, photography and sculpture.

Her art journey started almost 10 years ago - she is self taught and prolific, producing abstract works which are influenced by her life in London, her Caribbean heritage, forms in nature, texture, decay and the flux of day and night.

She is a painter who also likes to ‘make things’, usually as an extension of her paintings. Her current paintings consist of various series (like the Maps to Nowhere, Ketchup Daze and Colour Calculus series), each series dedicated to a specific idea and process, but all utilising her skills in mark making, lines, form, placement and her own text which she calls ‘unscript’.

Her work is a most personal conversation with herself where she is able to freely express her innermost emotions in an abstract format.

Outside of art, Tracy is a mother of two, with a MSc (Business Finance), BSc (Business & Psychology) and a previous career in oil trading at BP/Morgan Stanley in London
