Alexia D'Onofrio

Alexia D’Onofrio is an Italian artist whose practice focuses on the theme of inner transformation. After graduating from the Art Institute and earning a Master’s degree in Graphic Design, she developed a visual language that combines introspection and symbolism.

Since 2016, she has collaborated with various Italian and European galleries, including spaces in London and Barcelona, gaining recognition for the emotional depth and distinctive character of her work.

Her artistic research explores the invisible dimensions of human experience—those that lie beneath the surface of consciousness. In 2025, she introduced the series “Umbra”, a body of work created entirely with acrylics and fine brushes. The title, derived from Latin and meaning “shadow,” reflects her exploration of the hidden aspects of the self.

Through dark, immersive backgrounds, her compositions reveal constellations of small symbols that emerge as fragments of a vast inner universe. These elements evoke emotions, memories, and subconscious processes, suggesting that identity is not fixed, but in a constant state of evolution.
