Rasmus Murdoch

I am a self-taught artist working primarily in hyperrealistic graphite drawing, with a strong focus on portraiture. My work explores the intersection between technical precision and human presence, capturing the subtle details that define identity, emotion, and time.

Through a meticulous and time-intensive process, I aim to transform simple materials into highly detailed, almost photographic works that invite closer inspection. Texture, light, and contrast play a central role in my practice, often creating a moody and cinematic atmosphere.

I am particularly drawn to faces with strong character, where every line and imperfection contributes to a deeper narrative. My goal is not only to replicate reality, but to interpret it — revealing something more intimate beneath the surface.
