Emy Tahir Cullen

Emy Tahir Cullen is a Bruneian self-taught artist who has been active in the art world since 2017. What began as a therapeutic practice gradually evolved into a deep and committed artistic journey.

Working under her brand Gelos, she has sold over 100 original artworks locally and internationally, with collectors in Brunei Darussalam, the United Kingdom, the United States, Japan, Australia, Malaysia, South Sudan, and Ireland.

Her practice spans acrylic, oil, charcoal, and mixed media, often exploring abstract compositions that draw from elements of surrealism, expressionism, and fluid art.

Currently, her work focuses on mixed media abstraction, investigating the emotional and psychological impact of color, texture, and layered forms both within herself and in relation to the viewer.
