Todo Miya

I am a set designer based in Tokyo.For me, painting is a way to rebuild my relationship with myself.

Beyond the momentum of daily work, it brings me back to the sensations that are often overlooked. I continuously observe the world around me—cities, animals, and nature—capturing the feelings and inner movements a fleeting moment evokes within me.

At times, my images emerge from music; I perceive scenes within sound and translate them into visual form. I am deeply drawn to water and forests. Water carries the human subconscious, while within forests resides the will of nature itself. Through painting, I translate these unseen elements into something perceptible.
