Lorraine Nulty

My work explores the space between landscape and nature, where atmosphere and emotion take precedence over literal representation.

Working primarily in acrylic and oils, I create layered, textural paintings that evoke stillness, softness and a sense of quiet presence. Alongside my abstract landscapes, I also produce contemporary animal portraits that focus on character and connection within familiar rural subjects.

Inspired by the Lancashire countryside, my work balances natural themes with a modern, interior-led aesthetic, designed to bring calm, warmth and subtle movement into living spaces.
