Anna Belousova

I am an interdisciplinary artist working across performance, photography, and drawing. My practice explores the body as an unstable and porous condition rather than a fixed form.

I use my own body as both subject and method, developing self-directed performative situations that are later translated into images. These works do not function as traditional self-portraiture, but as traces of intimate encounters — moments where the boundaries between observer and participant begin to collapse.

My drawings and photographs emerge from these processes, capturing the body in states of dissolution, fragmentation, and transformation. The figure often resists clear definition, oscillating between presence and disappearance.

My work is informed by an interest in non-human forms of relationality, where the body is understood not as a stable identity, but as a shifting field of sensations, affects, and interactions.
