Augusto Chueco is an Argentine-Italian visual artist based in Kilkenny, Ireland. His practice spans expressionist painting, drawing and digitally manipulated photography — rooted in five years of professional kitchen work across Ireland.
His ongoing project Decoding the Plate investigates food as cultural code, site of identity and record of invisible labour. The kitchen becomes a psychological and political landscape: a place where bodies are consumed by systems of demand and perfection.
His work is held in private collections in Ireland and Argentina.
